As an idependent installer we recommend that you use a HETAS approved fitter to install your heating appliance to ensure a safe installation. Using accredited HETAS installer means that your installation complies with the requirements of the Building Regulations and it is also recorded on the HETAS database. Failure to comply with the installation instructions or Building regulations could invalidate your home insurance.
Site Survey
When installing a new wood burning stove or mult fuel stove, or updating an old one, a site survey will help you to find the best type of appliance, flue system and location of heating appliance for your home, as well as providing you with an accurate quotation of cost.
Stovetec Ltd. offer a site survey that includes:
- Check the location of the proposed site for stove
- Check the chimney or plan the route of the flue
- Calculate the heat output for the room
- Assess the DERFA rules in accordance with the Smoke Control Areas of the UK
- Provide you with a comprehensive quotation of the cost of fitting your appliance, consequently avoiding any unexpected expense
